Paradise Hotel and Social Networks

As most of you know Paradise Hotel is a reality television program. In the show, a group of single people live in a luxurious hotel resort, competing to see who can stay in the hotel the longest. Periodically, someone is removed from the show, and others are brought in to replace them. Each week couples pair off and must share a hotel room together. One person is left over, and he or she has to leave. To sum it up the show is about sex, party and intrigues.

Paradise Hotel have become a phenomena, it in the media, it is on every ones lips as well as in the social network channels. I am personally watching the Norwegian edition and in addition to this I am “a fan of Paradise Hotel Norway” on Facebook. In this Facebook group people can discuss the show and outer their opinions about the people on it. My opinion is that the people applying for a show like this have to be very psychically fit, because people watching gets very engaged. There are several hate groups for Paradise Hotel participants on Facebook, so it is hard to see the ethics in it.

Paradise Hotel is a tv-show that enables people to satisfy their inner “peeping-tom”. This is trash-tv at it’s worst, and even so, there is something strangely intriguing about watching “normal” people calling each other a pedophile whore because someones’ shoes does not match the rest of the outfit. However, one must question the state of humanity when this is what keeps us entertained.. (For the record: I do not watch Paradise Hotel ;) ).

I must admit that I have seen some episodes, but I have also shook my head numerous times. Some of the comments and actions really makes me worried. I have noticed when their name appears on the screen they also inform us about what they do on daily basis. I saw that one of them is studying to be a pilot, and this kind of show must be a great aply for this kind of job:). what people say about the people in this show isn`t exactly positive i would say, but with a litlebit of selfawareness and maybe some words from friends and family you stay out of this kind of shows:).

Paradise Hotel, is it really a paradise hotel?? If what we call paradise is intrigues, bad language and people fighting over irrelevant and stupid things it must be something wrong.. I thought paradise was beauty, people being nice to each other and a tree.. In Paradise hotel it seems like everyone is trying to be the snake who poisoned the apple.. who wants to live in a hotel where you might eat a poisoned apple?

I’n not watching Paradise Hotel nor live in Norway, but still knows whats going on, this because of the Parasise syndrome, IT’S EVERYWHERE!!
